SQLBits started in 2007. All because a group of SQL enthusiasts decided that the world needed a real festival of enthusiasts of all things data. Today it is one of the biggest events of its kind. Every year, more than 200 data experts take part in it, who reveal their secrets in more than 300 hours of in-depth sessions. This includes not only yawn-inducing sales pitches, but real meaty things as well.

Previous editions of this database event have served us a veritable parade of intellects, with themes intertwining through dense forests of database management, climbing steep peaks of AI and treading into broad grasslands of infrastructural innovation. We had the opportunity to listen to personalities such as Juan Loaiza, who transformed data into conversations about the future of technology, and Viviane Albert, teaching us how to deal with difficult projects with resilience.
